Betty Elmsall who passed away on Saturday 15th May 2004:
We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all our friends for their generous support, cards, phone calls and for the donations to the Alzheimer's Society and Diabetic Direct, also those who attended the cremation service and to the Rev. Dodds for ably conducting it.

Railway Path:

  1. I would like to thank Spencer and the 'gang' who worked so hard to clear the old railway path from Coldharbour to Markers on Saturday 5th June. Many of us in the Coldharbour area use the path as it is such a lovely safe path to the village.

Beatrice Batten

  1. As a dog owner regularly using the 'railway walk' I would to congratulate and thank Spence and his team for the superb tidy-up operation they carried out on 5th June. I have already sampled  the extra seating which will be much appreciated by all.

How very nice it would be if the gangs of young people who also enjoy this facility would not leave their litter behind. It's rather pathetic that I carry two bags on my walks - one to pick up my dog's litter and one to pick up crisp wrappers, plastic bottles etc. I have also noted with amusement some items of underwear hanging from bushes. Don't ask!!

Name and address supplied

Church Fete:
A big thank you to all those who worked so hard to make the Church Fete such a success. We had a lovely day and raised £1028.39.

Mary Landells

... and a huge thank you to Mary for organising us all!

Alan

Christian Aid:
Many thanks to George Wheatley for organising the Christian Aid collection this year.

MARY TWIDDY
There will be a memorial service for Mary who died on May 27th, in St Mary's Church on Wednesday 14th July at 1 pm and afterwards in the Village Hall. All who knew her are welcome to attend.
